Cottage Location

The ancient village of Warkworth is one of the jewels in Northumberland’s crown and Riverview Cottage is just a short walk to all the amenities it has to offer.  There are restaurants, pubs and artisan shops, as well as a golf course and a regular bus service runs to Alnwick, Newcastle and beyond if you want to leave your car at Riverview Cottage.

From the doorstep you can walk in one direction along the riverside to the historic Warkworth Castle and the remarkable 14th century Hermitage chapel beyond and in the other direction along the river past St Lawrence Church (with its towering 100 foot spire) to the old fortified bridge and down onto the stunning beach just one mile from the cottage.
